5 out of 5 stars Great and low price   July 5, 2010
Brian Gouge (Salt Lake City, UT USA)
I am using Jumbo Frames 9K with no problems through this switch. Getting transfers over 110MB/sec from Synology DS1010+ br / br /I like the status lights showing whic ports are gigabit speed. I actually prefer the layout of this switch for my desktop use; lights in front, ports in back. Please note the layout if you plan to use it in a more "rack mount" style arrangement. br / br /Also, do follow the 5-4-3 rule (wikipedia has it listed as "Ethernet Way versus IEEE Way") if you expect reliable network communications and before posting reviews stating you are having issues with multiple hubs involved.

5 out of 5 stars Solid product   July 5, 2010

This product works efficiently and as expected. I always have good success with dlink products and have learned to depend on them when some bigger names fail.

4 out of 5 stars Does the job but only 110V power adaptor   June 25, 2010
Rhesus Minus
The only bad thing about this is the power adaptor that doesn't allow for anything else than 110V. Living in Norway I have to convert the voltage myself at an added cost. Almost all appliances bought today have adaptors covering the wide range of 100-240V. br / br /Apart from that it does the job as it should.

4 out of 5 stars D Link DGS-2208   June 21, 2010
Gadgit Tech (PHX)
Shipped from Amazon and arrived on time. The D-Link DGS-2208 ver.: D1 is connected with other brands of switches (NETGEAR and Linksys) cascaded. This switch is directly connected to another D-Link product (DIR-825) all are on a gigabit capable network. I have had no issues with connections, speeds or auto negotiations with any of the connected switches even with fast Ethernet only NIC's (100Mbit). I have only had this product for about a month. I guess time will tell if this switch will holdup or not, but so far it seems to be working fine. Amazon shipping A+++.

1 out of 5 stars Worked for 6 months   June 16, 2010
Mike B2 (Maryland) (Jarrettsville, MD, US)
I bought one of these switches in November 2009. Worked great until today, June 15, 2010. Tried to call dLink. Couldn't get tech support. The switch department selection on the phone disconnects you from tech support. Without a Tech Support case ID you can't return the product. Supposed to be a 3 year warranty! Dead in 6 months. Cash in the Trash! Get another brand switch instead :(
