Limited expandability August 12, 2010 Space Mom (Houston, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this router as part of my subscription to Comcast. If I had a simple setup, it would be fine, but I have a home network with 2 computers, a printer, a PS3, a wireless extender and laptops that stretch from one end of the house to the other. When I hooked this router up to my network, the computers would randomly drop on and off of the internet. After endless internet searches and phone calls I finally found a tech at Comcast who told me that this router is not compatible with other routers/extenders. In other words, you can't expand your network to a far end of the house with a switch or extender. Once I disconnected my extender, it worked fine. Problem is, half the house is now in a dead zone. I will probably end up getting the WNR3500 which is compatible with multiple routers/extenders.
awesome August 10, 2010 dreamcatcher (colorado) this is second one, I purchase because we have two homes. The first one worked so well that I ordered one for our other home.
* to avoid any problems, I contacted their support for assistance in the installation, both times, they walked me through the installation with no problem at all
* it took less than 20 min.
* they were quite professional, helpful, friendly, personable, patient and knowledgeable with good communication skills, the second time, it was a person with an accent, but his use of the language was great.
* I use the wireless alot w/ my ipod and get perfect reception all around inside and outside the house
the first one, I have owned and used it for several mos., with no problem, the second so far so good.[ just installed 2 days ago]
* they both have given a boost to my modem, something nice, in addition to everything else
* I would truly recommend this item, great buy and beyond expectation service and support.

Unstable Router July 25, 2010 M. Wu (NJ, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have this router for about half a year now. It was working, not great but works. One night, I decided to turn it off. Since then, it was never the same, router only last for couple hrs initially and getting worse and worse. It just drop connections all of a sudden.
I went thought Tech Support using e-mail
They asked me to change settings and upgraded firmware. It was completely wasting time. They do not even tell you how long the warranty is. I guess they do not want to replace the unit.
My $15 dollar belkin was working better, at least it last for a week. I can not believe turn off power would cause this kind issue.
