| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Linksys' Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router is actually three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.

Very simple to set up; works as advertised March 9, 2010 The unit works exactly as I expected it to. It was easy to set up and worked immediately.
Decent router March 9, 2010 Jeffrey W. Vanwinkler Decent shipping, decent range and speed, set up took a long time, had to call linksys and after several times back and forth got it fixed, still does not work on one computer, otherwards a decent router
Do not buy this router March 8, 2010 No Duty to Rescue (Milwaukee, WI) My router works about 90% of the time. To fix it, I frequently have to power cycle the router to get online. This happens to both my Mac and with a Vista PC. Multiple calls to customer support and updating to the latest firmware did not fix this.

br /Now, I am outside the refurbished products warranty window and just power cycle the router every day.
Works Great for Me March 8, 2010 Metalcastr I bought this wireless router because I wanted to upgrade my wireless connection to the N standard. I have had a WRT54G v3 for years, and it has served me well, but I wanted something that would be able to stream HD content reliably through the house, which wireless G isn't really suited for. I have received a version 3 router. This router uses the 2.4Ghz N band, not the 5Ghz band. This suits me well, since I have read from different sources that the 5Ghz band, although uncrowded, doesn't penetrate as far as the 2.4Ghz. Although this router isn't dual-band all my wireless devices are compatible with N so it's alright. I was skeptical of refurbished products, thinking they would arrive broken, however this router looks brand new like others have said, and works like new as well. This router does get warm to the touch, more so than my old WRT54G, and I have measured temperatures of 106 degrees Fahrenheit with my infrared thermometer. I haven't had any overheating issues though with intense online gaming. I bought this in conjunction with a Linksys WMP600N dual-band PCI card, so I could upgrade to dual-band in the future if need be. Setup was easy for me, because I have previous experience setting up routers. The browser interface is nearly identical to the old WRT54G, so if you know that interface it'll be no problem setting this router up.

Second one that doesn't work March 7, 2010 D. Hooks I've purchased two of these model routers, and the wireless has not worked properly on either one. The first one started off working ok, and then performance degraded until I could no longer hold a signal. The second one would not work properly out of the box, intermittently broadcasting a network ID and not maintaining connections. I tested both with a variety of hardware (multiple laptops, iPhones). There are obviously some serious problems with this model, since they are abundantly available as refurbished units at very low costs.
