5 out of 5 stars Works great   March 6, 2010

I've had this only two days but it seems to be working great. Very easy to set up (about 15 minutes)and now my wifi connection to my iPod is 4 times faster than with my old Linksys router. And no more dropouts. To make the setup even easier, I just used my old name and password from the Linksys router. This looks like a winner and I would highly recommend it.

I never write reviews, but given my horrible experience with this router I felt I must. First, the product was easy to setup as well as configure. I was really happy that finally I would not have dropped connections and have better range. To my utter dismay, after everything was setup and working, the router started dropping connections every 3 minutes and the range was about 1 foot. Luckily Amazon is pretty good about returns and this product is going back. Bottom line: I think that for the price the quality control should be much better as this router was totally defective and I am going to go with Linksys. DO NOT BUY!!!

I am very impressed. I needed a new router that avoided NAT issues for use with VOIP applications. This does the trick and has been rock solid since installation. No reservations.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best routers you can get, Loaded with features.   March 3, 2010

I did a LOT of research before buying this router, if your looking for a top performing router with all the best features this is it. I've been using it for about 3 months, the speed lives up to it's promises I usually have a solid transfer rate. The range is very good, I have not notices a huge improvement with my stock G internal laptop adapter but it's definitely a good 150 - 200 feet through a few walls and a good 80% signal anywhere around the house. br / br /I did recently buy the WNDA3100 dual band USB adapter and have never seen the signal go below 90%, I have not tested it but I bet it could go up to 300 feet through a few walls as promised. I always have a good 300 MegaBits/sec wireless transfer rate, and get about 1.5 - 1.8 MegaBytes/sec rate when transfering to/from my USB hard drive I have plugged into the router. br / br /I NEVER get dropped connections (like I did every 20 minutes with old my crappy d-link router), and I only have to power cycle it maybe once or twice a month. br / br /Some awesome features I like are the ability to add a USB hard drive, and the built in server so you can access your USB hard drive (read and write) from any computers web browser or an Iphone/Blackberry anytime without having to leave your computer on at home. It has a built in Media Streamer so you can stream videos/music/pictures off a hard drive to any computer on your network (I have mine streaming through my xbox 360). There are so many features there is almost no limit. br / br /The gigabit ports have super fast transfer rates through the wired connection (at least 6 megabytes/sec) but make sure you have a gigabit lan adapter on each of your devices and use cat6 ethernet cables. br / br /I don't like that you can't plug a printer into the usb port to share with your network, but I really don't care since I don't print that much anyways. br / br /I spent a bit more money then I wanted to for a router, but I wanted all the best features and I was sick of dealing with cheap routers that didn't work right all the time, so it was totally worth it to get this router. If your highly technologically inclined and have your entire house's tvs/computers/laptops/phones networked you definitely want the best router and this is it. If you just have a few devices and don't need the extra features and mostly are wireless I would go for the WNDR3300 router which costs a lot less and has the same wireless speed and connection.

Although the CD the router came with would not recognize my computer operating system when attempting to load up, I manually installed it without problem. Since then it has been working like a charm. I would recommend this product.
