Best to avoid this router December 14, 2009

Purchased this about 8 months ago to use at home and connect 3 different computer (2 mac & 1 pc) and 1 game station. All wired via ethernet. Simple to install-- albeit this item is not necessarily MAC- friendly as the software CD provided is pc-only. Hook-up went easy enough and it seemed to have no issues with the cable modem nor computers. After several weeks, it became apparent that this ethernet broadband router was definitely the choke-point in my home connection. Lost, slow connections and numerous hang-ups made rebooting this router almost a daily frustrating experience. I finally wisened up & picked up an apple airport extreme &... voila! Problem solved.
This DLink router does makes an okay paperweight, however.
