1 out of 5 stars buggy   July 30, 2010

I need to configure this product with a static IP address with a 24 bit mask. When I went to save changes it saved it as an 8 bit mask. I returned the product and bought a Netgear AP.

1 out of 5 stars Reboot Regularly   June 30, 2010
Tom
Every few days, I cannot connect to this thing. Shows up in the list with plenty of signal, but keeps prompting for the password and times out. I can still access it over the wired network and do a reboot from the admin software or just unplug and re-plug it in, which fixes it (temporarily). What a pain. Contacted Linksys and they instructed me to upgrade the firmware. The firmware is on version 1.0 and always has been (as of this writing). Talk about clueless tech support. Here's my advice - pick another product.

1 out of 5 stars Signal strength goes from strong to zero!   June 6, 2010

I had purchased this device to boost my wireless signal strength in my house. I don't understand how it is that the singal strength can go from all bars to no bars from five feet away. Makes no sense to me.

Worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. Cicso is now band from my house. I hope they go broke. Nothing stays connected. IPOD and ZUNE will not connect at all. Laptop was connecting now it may or may not. HORRIBLE save yourself and purchase anything else. THIS THING IS JUNK. And before you go thinking I have set it up wrong or am not familiar with wireless networks........ I am a System Administrator and have years of experience. My last Linksys was fine. This one is garbage.

Works well with iPad but does not work with Mac using new os. A shame that still no fix after months of complaints on forums...bigger shame amazon sells it stating it works with macs when it doesn't.
